Where is Forest Lagoon?

There are various ways, you can drive, walk, take a taxi or you can use our shuttle bus for free. Hourly departures from Hof, cultural center from 10:00-18:00 from May 22nd, 09:00-18:00 in June-August and from 10:00-18:00 until September 15th.  

How to get to the Forest Lagoon?

Yes, we have a shuttle bus that guests can use, free of charge. Hourly departures to the lagoon from Hof, cultural center. And hourly departures from the lagoon to Hof. Hourly departures from Hof, cultural center from 10:00-18:00 from May 22nd, 09:00-18:00 in June-August and from 10:00-18:00 until September 15th. 

Since the lagoon is located outside of the town, do you offer free shuttle?

You cannot secure a seat on the bus, however if you have a reservation to the lagoon, it gives you priority on the bus.

How can I make sure I can use the bus?

Yes there are parking spots for disabled people

Are there special parking spots for disabled people?

Yes, there are charging stations, to use them you need to download an app called ISORKA

Are there any charging stations for electric cars at the Forest Lagoon?

There are two cruise terminals, one is 4,2 km from the Lagoon, the other one is 4,5 km from the Lagoon

How far is the Lagoon from the pier where cruise vessels dock?

Yes, it is possible. Walking paths are not all paved with asphalt.

Is it possible to walk to the Forest Lagoon?

530m2 geothermal pool with water temperature 37-39°C, warmer pool with water temperature 39-41°C, cold pool with water temperature around 12°C and dry Finnish Sauna. All guests have access to those areas. Towels, bathrobes, and swimwear are not included, but can be rented.

What is included in the entrance fee?

Yes, we have towels and swimwear in most sizes.  

Can I rent a towel and/or swimwear?

We have hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion for guests, but you are welcome to bring your own.   

Are there toiletries for guests or should I bring my own?

The pools are 125 cm deep. The main pool’s water temperature is 37-39°C, (98-100°F), the warmer pool’s water temperature is 39-41°C, (102-104°F) and the cold pool with water temperature around 12°C (53°F)

How deep is the water and what is the temperature?

Yes, there are two in-pool swim up bars, where you can buy sodas, alcoholic beverages, and smoothies.

Can I buy drinks in the Lagoon?

There is a fully equipped changing room for disabled persons. For further questions send us an email, info@forestlagoon.is

How is the facility for disabled persons?

Guardian or an escort with a disabled person who needs full assistance gets a free entry. (only one person with each disabled person)

Is there an entrance fee or is it free of charge for guardians or escorts with disabled persons?

No, not specifically for gender-neutral persons, but however gender-neutral persons can use the changing room for disabled persons, there is privacy there and 4 lockers. It needs to be booked in advance by sending an email to info@forestlagoon.is

Do you have gender-neutral changing rooms?

The men’s and women’s changing room have 100 lockers each. There are two changing cubicles, which offer people the opportunity to undress or dress behind closed doors. There are benches where guests can sit down, which can be useful. There is a special drying area before entering the changing room after showering. There are two seats in the showers for guests who have difficulties standing while putting on swimwear.

In the changing room intended for disabled persons there are 4 lockers, and it is fully equipped for disabled person.

How are the changing room facilities?

There are no private changing rooms. There are two changing cubicles in the men’s and women’s changing rooms, which offer people the opportunity to undress or dress behind closed doors. Note that there are no lockers in the cubicle and guests must use the lockers in the changing rooms. There are not private showers, but the shower area is divided into an open shower area and shower cubicles that offer some privacy.  

Are there private showers and/or private changing rooms?

Yes, we have a small room that we can use to store some luggage. Please note that the room is not big so we can only store a limited amount of luggage.

Is it possible to store luggage somewhere while going into the Lagoon?

Yes, it is mandatory to shower, and guests must wash their bodies without swimwear before entering the Lagoon.

Is it mandatory to shower before entering the Lagoon?

Appropriate swimwear includes swimsuits, bikinis, swim trunks and shorts, as well as special swimsuits. It is not allowed to wear clothes such as underwear, pants and/or sweaters.

What kind of swimwear must guests wear?

The guests can enter the lagoon at their own responsibility. We, however, recommend that guests refrain from it if the conditions are severe or if the warm water can affect the guest in any way.

Is it safe to enter the Lagoon if guests have any medical conditions?

Children up to 16 years old must be accompanied by a guardian (18 years or older). After 10pm people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian who is then a parent, stepparent, grandparent, or spouse. Accompanying adults must always supervise children. (Forest Lagoon team members may ask to confirm your child's date of birth using a valid ID card and reserve the right to refuse access if one cannot be provided.)

No kids under the age of 12 years old are allowed after 20:00

What is the age limit to enter the Lagoon?

Children up to 16 years old must be accompanied by a guardian (18 years or older). After 10pm people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian who is then a parent, stepparent, grandparent, or spouse.

Can children enter on their own?

The last time you can make a reservation is at 22:30. However, we advise guests that all guests must leave the baths at 23:30. (no discount is given even if you arrive at this time)

When is the last chance to enter the Lagoon?

There are no strict rules, but we recommend that guests do not stay longer than two hours.

For how long can guests stay in the Lagoon?

No guests must decide whether to enter the Bistro before or after going into the Lagoon.

Can guests enter the Lagoon, go to the Bistro, and enter the Lagoon again?

Yes. Please respect the privacy of other guests and ask you not to share any media content that can harm other guests in any way.

Is it allowed to take photos and videos in the Lagoon?

Yes, there are two in-pool bars where guests can buy both non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages. Guests are not allowed to bring their own drinks or water bottles.

Is it allowed to have drinks in the Lagoon?

Yes, the water is harmless to the hair. The water does not contain anything that should do some damage.

Is it OK for the hair to get wet from the Lagoon water or does it damage the hair in any way?

It is OK, but we do not recommend it. The water is high of oxygen, and it could do some damage to some jewelry materials.

Is it OK to wear jewelry in the Lagoon?

We offer guests to change the time or the date of arrival if the request is within the cancelation policy. For very special circumstances you can send an email to info@forestlagoon.is and the matter will be taken into consideration.

Can I get a refund?

Tickets purchased in advance can be changed to another date or refunded in the form of a gift cards upon being requested accordingly:

Cancellation policy for 1- 9 guests

If cancelled less than 24 hours in advance: No refund.

Cancellation policy for groups 

A cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled. 

• 10-30 guests at least 4 days before the scheduled time

• 31-50 guests at least 1 week before the scheduled time

• 51- 80 guests at least 2 weeks before the scheduled time

What is the cancellation policy?

Yes, we always recommend that guests make an online reservation to secure a spot at the date and time they prefer to enter. Guests who have not pre-booked do not have guarantied entry.  

Is it necessary to pre-book before entering?

Go to the website www.forestlagoon.is and choose book now. You follow the steps, and at the end you enter the gift card number. Just remember to choose apply after you enter the number.

How do I make a reservation with a gift card?

No, we do not accept reservations over the phone. Please go to our website www.forestlagoon.is and make the reservation. Please note that payment is required before entering.

Is it possible to make a reservation over the phone?

We have been offering discount for groups (10 persons or more). For further information, please send an email at info@forestlagoon.is

Is it possible to have a private event at the Forest Lagoon?

All bookings have a flexibility of 30 minutes. You can contact us to see if you can change the reservation time, but it is not guaranteed. According to terms and conditions cancelations must be within the cancelations policy.

What do I do if I can’t make it at the time of my reservation?

We accept cash, and all credit cards, except AMEX
